Welcome to Achordim by The Faith Sound. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Achordim, we may collect:

• Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
• User Content: Songs you create, save, or upload to our service, including chord charts, lyrics, and songbook organization.
• Scanned Charts (camera, photos or PDFs): When you use the scanner, the image or PDF you choose is uploaded to our service and sent to an AI text-recognition provider to read the chords and lyrics. We do not keep the image in our own database once the chart has been produced. A copy of the scan and its result is sent to a private channel our team uses to check recognition quality — see Data Sharing.
• Usage Data: Information about how you use the app, including features accessed, session data, and subscription status.
• Device Information: Browser type, device type, operating system, and device identifiers for multi-device management.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Achordim service
• Save and sync your songs and songbooks across devices
• Process scanned chord chart images for chord extraction
• Enable live session features for worship teams
• Manage your subscription and account
• Provide offline access to your songs via local caching
• Improve our services and user experience
• Communicate important updates about the service

3. Device Permissions

Achordim may request access to the following device features:

• Camera: Used to photograph chord charts and sheet music for chord extraction. Camera access is only activated when you use the scanner feature. Images are processed and are not permanently stored.
• Microphone: Used by the instrument tuner and the vocal-range tool to hear the note you play or sing. The audio is analysed live on your device, is never recorded, and never leaves your phone.
• Local Storage (IndexedDB): Used to cache your songs and songbooks locally for offline access. This data remains on your device.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these circumstances:

• With your consent
• To comply with legal obligations
• To protect our rights and safety
• With service providers who assist in operating our app:
  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and hosting
  • PayPal: Subscription payment processing (web)
  • Apple App Store / Google Play: In-app purchases in the mobile apps — Apple/Google process the payment; we never see your card details
  • RevenueCat: Mobile billing infrastructure — receives your purchase state and account ID to keep your plan in sync across devices
  • AI text-recognition providers: Receive the chart you scan, in order to read it. Which one is used depends on the scan quality you pick: Google (Gemini) for most scans, and OpenAI (GPT-4o) for the heaviest ones. Several of these are reached through OpenRouter, a routing service that passes the request on. They process the chart to answer that one request; we do not permit them to use your charts to train their models. The Free scan option does not use any of them — it runs on a machine we operate ourselves.
  • Telegram: Carries the quality-review copy described below. It receives the scanned image, the recognised text, and a shortened account identifier — never your name, email or payment details.

6. Scan Quality Review

Reading a hand-written or photocopied chord chart is hard, and the app gets it wrong sometimes. So that we can find and fix those failures, a copy of each scan — the image or PDF, the text our system produced from it, and a shortened version of your account identifier — is sent to a private channel that only our team can read. It is used for one purpose: judging how well the recognition worked and improving it.

That channel carries no name, email address or payment information. If you would rather your charts were not reviewed this way, write to us at the address in Contact Us and we will exclude your account.

7. Live Sessions

When you create or join a live session, other participants in that session can see the song content being shared. Session codes are temporary and sessions can be ended at any time by the leader.

8. Public Songs

When you submit a song for public sharing, it goes through a reviewer approval process. Approved public songs are visible to all users. You retain ownership of your content and can remove it from public sharing at any time.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and everything in it, from inside the app: side menu → Delete my account. This permanently removes your songs, sets and account, and cannot be undone.
• Export your songs
• Revoke camera and microphone permissions at any time through your device settings
• Opt out of non-essential communications

10. Cookies and Local Storage

We use local storage to save your preferences (such as theme, language, display settings) and maintain your session. We also use IndexedDB for offline song caching. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless necessary for functionality.

11. Children's Privacy

Achordim is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

3. הרשאות מכשיר

Achordim עשוי לבקש גישה לתכונות המכשיר הבאות:

4. אחסון נתונים

6. בקרת איכות של סריקות

קריאה של דף אקורדים בכתב יד או של צילום מטושטש היא משימה קשה, ולעיתים המערכת טועה. כדי שנוכל לאתר את הטעויות ולתקן אותן, עותק של כל סריקה — התמונה או ה‑PDF, הטקסט שהמערכת הפיקה ממנה, ומזהה חשבון מקוצר — נשלח לערוץ פרטי שרק הצוות שלנו קורא. השימוש בו הוא למטרה אחת: להעריך את איכות הזיהוי ולשפר אותה.

בערוץ זה אין שם, כתובת אימייל או פרטי תשלום. אם אינכם מעוניינים שהדפים שלכם ייבדקו כך, כתבו לנו לכתובת המופיעה ב"צרו קשר" ונחריג את החשבון שלכם.

7. הפעלות חיות

כאשר אתם יוצרים או מצטרפים להפעלה חיה, משתתפים אחרים בהפעלה יכולים לראות את תוכן השיר המשותף. קודי הפעלה הם זמניים וניתן לסיים הפעלות בכל עת על ידי המנהל.

8. שירים ציבוריים

כאשר אתם מגישים שיר לשיתוף ציבורי, הוא עובר תהליך אישור על ידי סוקר. שירים ציבוריים שאושרו נראים לכל המשתמשים. אתם שומרים על הבעלות על התוכן שלכם ויכולים להסיר אותו משיתוף ציבורי בכל עת.

9. הזכויות שלכם

יש לכם את הזכות:

• לגשת למידע האישי שלכם
• לתקן מידע לא מדויק
• למחוק את החשבון ואת כל התוכן שבו, ישירות מהאפליקציה: תפריט צד ← מחיקת החשבון שלי. הפעולה מוחקת לצמיתות את השירים, הסטים והחשבון ואינה ניתנת לביטול.
• לייצא את השירים שלכם
• לבטל הרשאות מצלמה ומיקרופון בכל עת דרך הגדרות המכשיר
• לבטל הסכמה לתקשורת לא חיונית

10. עוגיות ואחסון מקומי

אנו משתמשים באחסון מקומי כדי לשמור את ההעדפות שלכם (כמו ערכת נושא, שפה, הגדרות תצוגה) ולשמור על ההפעלה שלכם. אנו גם משתמשים ב-IndexedDB לשמירת שירים לגישה לא מקוונת. נתונים אלה נשארים במכשיר שלכם ואינם מועברים לשרתים שלנו אלא אם כן נדרש לפונקציונליות.

11. פרטיות ילדים

Achordim אינו מיועד לילדים מתחת לגיל 13. אנו לא אוספים ביודעין מידע אישי מילדים מתחת לגיל 13.
